Skillset for a security guard | armed or unarmed
Must possess the skillset to be able to work at multiple sites, under the various working conditions.
- An extremely high-level of customer service skills are needed
- Routine heavy lifting may be required
- Routine walking is required
- Climbing Staircases multiple times throughout shift may be required
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and other persons, to maintain security of the entirety of the building
- Ensure a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere
- Knowledgeable about residential and/or commercial rules, and effectively answer inquiries specific to the property
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Effectively understand and utilize technology products such as a smartphone, computer, tablet, etc.
- Help residents, guests, tenants, visitors, and other persons in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to prepare reports in a clear and concise manner
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Arizona Security Guard License (preferred, but not required)
- One year of experience as security guard (preferred, but not required)
- Must be at least age 18
- Ability to pass an English composition assessment upon request (This ensures the ability to utilize proper grammar & spelling for report writing)
- Must be able to pass an in-depth criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening (This is a zero tolerance work environment)
- Must have a reliable means of transportation
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a clean driving record and valid Arizona Driver’s License
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Must have the ability to effectively speak, read, and write English
